High brightness TFT displays

High brightness TFT displays are a type of TFT display design that use direct-lit- LED backlighting. In direct-lit backlighting, the LEDs are placed directly behind the display stack. This allows for consistent lighting across the entire screenand allows a brightness of up to 4,500cd/m² on the TFT screen . They are for use in areas with high ambient brightness, such as train windows or outdoors in direct sunlight, where content on TFT displays with normal brightness is difficult to read with standard backlight.
