OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays are a type of display technology that use organic compounds to produce light. OLED displays offer several advantages over traditional LCD/TFT displays, including better contrast, faster refresh rates, and lower power consumption but on the other side they have some life time limitaions. There are two main types of OLED displays: PMOLED (Passive Matrix OLED) and AMOLED (Active Matrix OLED). PMOLED displays are simpler and less expensive than AMOLED displays, but they are also less efficient and have lower resolution. AMOLED displays are more complex and expensive than PMOLED displays, but they offer higher resolution and better color reproduction. They are not recommended for outdoor apllications.
